Layover Boarding
We can accommodate layover boarding for those passing through the area for travel or for horse showing. RIDING SCHOOL Lessons
We offer riding lessons to both adults and children (Western and English lessons are available). Whether you are interested in riding horses for pleasure, show, or both, we can accommodate. There's more to horses than just riding! Lessons at Meadowthorpe Farm focus on developing sound overall horsemanship skills. We teach the care and handling necessary to safely work with horses... safety of horse and rider comes first! Because understanding horse behavior is important, we teach riders how to think like a horse does! Taking the time to learn good basics pays off and produces better, well-rounded equestrians. We don't rush students to learn on "our schedule " because we want our lessons to be an enjoyable and successful experience that leaves everyone feeling happy and accomplished at the end of a session. We are an ideal program for students who enjoy a quiet environment with personalized, one-to-one attention, and customized coaching. We avoid sensory overload-with many riders and/or lessons happening in the ring at one time. Each student is unique, and our training reflects this. BOARDING SPOT(S) AVAILABLE We are open to offering a boarding spot or two to the right boarding fit for our environment spring 2021. This is a rare opportunity to become a part of our low-key unique farm family. If you are looking for top-quality care in a quiet setting where you can enjoy your horse and have access to quality and convenient amenities in a supportive non-competitive environment without the typical pressures or high price tag of a show barn, reach out. We do require horses with us either enroll in our weekly lesson or training ride program, OR are used in our lesson and Memphis IEA program, OR are boarding with us via a working student program, but reach out if this sounds of interest. TRAINING RIDES Training rides are available as needed with Coaches/Trainers. All boarded horses at this facility MUST maintain adequate fitness levels in order to keep a stall at our facility. (twice weekly ride requirement minimum!) This is important for mental and emotional well-being for our equine residents and to prevent boredom. Exceptions: injured horses or otherwise as communicated with management. Training rides will be scheduled for times when residents can't be worked by their owners OR as needed/desired by owners when "tune-up's" are needed. Short-term training board clients are accepted for Sale Prospects! RATES
